• Installation on Compaq machines possible (modules 'cciss' or 'cpqarray')
• Boot from USB-CDROM devices possible
• PCMCIA package installable from CDROM
• With this image you can prepare an USB stick which could be used as an installation medium. Installation from the stick to SATA or SCSI hardware is possible. To do so just burn the image on CD or mount it. Then the USB stick could be prepared. Attention: This is only available under Linux at the moment.

Floppy version

If your future eisfair server does not contain a CDROM drive, you can download a old floppy disc version here:

Keep in mind that this installer version is based on kernel 2.2.19 which not support new hardware. But you can update this old system using the online update function to the actual eisfair version 1.6.5.

VMeisfair

A VMware-Image which you can use with the VMware-Player is available too.

CD-ROMs

Bootable CD-ROMs with all available packages can be ordered.

Important notice: If you want to use an eisfair-1 data partition, you can't use it as an LVM volume! Because of this it is not recommended to use an eisfair-1 partition on eisfair-2.
